Homework Request (3 or more days absent)
If a student is absent more than three days, parents may call the Absence Line and follow the prompts to request homework on the third day of a student's absence. Since this takes clerical and teacher time and may be one of many such requests, there is a 24 hour turnaround time for the work to be collected.
A student may be excused in advance for important reasons. In such cases, the parent/guardian should send an explanatory note to the Counseling/Attendance Office prior to the absence. The student may be excused if school work is satisfactory and up to date and the student's teachers feel school work will not suffer unduly by the absence. Students who vacation during school time may not request homework in advance, but are responsible for missed tests and assignments.
