Acknowledge - that your friend has a problem and that the symptoms are serious
Care - let them know that you care about them and that you want to help them
Tell - a trusted adult (parent, teacher, counselor, coach, etc) about your concerns. DO NOT hold on to this information. 

Helping yourself - If you are having thoughts of suicide, talk to an adult that you trust about how you're feeling.  Stop to see your school counselor, talk to your parent(s) or call the suicide prevention hotline at
1-800-273-8255.
