7th & 8th Boys Basketball

Winter I Season (October - December)

Welcome to Frost’s Boys Basketball Program! Important information regarding the 2025/2026 season is provided below.

Sign ups: Students should sign up in advance using the Google Form that will be sent out to parents near the beginning of October.  In order to try out, you must complete all consent documents in Final Forms and upload a copy of the athlete's current physical.  No paper copies are accepted.  You must attend all three tryout days

Tryout Information:

• Tryout Dates:  October 27th (Monday), October 28th (Tuesday), October 29th (Wednesday)
• Start Time: 3 pm
• Location: Frost East Gym (7th grade), and Frost West Gym (8th grade)

The first several practices will be tryout days to cut down the team to appropriate numbers. There will be one team of 7th graders and one team of 8th graders (15 players on each team).

Practice Schedule: All practices are held at Frost Middle School, from 3:00 - 4:30 pm every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. If school is not in session, there is NO practice.  

Families are expected to have a ride ready for pick up at the end of practice.  Repeated late pickups could result in removal from the team. 

Uniform and Gear: All basketball athletes will be provided a Frost Basketball Jersey that they are expected to wear to all games.  All athletes must bring their own plain black basketball shorts.  

Information regarding Spirit Wear will be sent out to all families of those who make the team!

Game Times and Details:

• All home games and Livonia vs. Livonia games start at 4:00 pm (both 7th and 8th grade)
• Some out-of-district schools only use one gym, so the 7th-grade games start at 4:00 pm and the 8th-grade game at approximately 5:00 pm, immediately following the 7th-grade game.
