7th & 8th Girls Basketball

Welcome to Frost’s Girls Basketball Program! Important information regarding the 2025/2026 season is provided below.

Sign ups

Students should sign up in advance using the Google Form that will be sent out to parents in mid-December. To try out, you must complete all consent documents in Final Forms and upload a copy of the athlete's current physical.  No paper copies are accepted.  * You must attend all three tryout days

Tryout Information

• Tryout Dates:  January 6th (Tuesday), January 7th (Wednesday), January 8th (Thursday)
• Time and Location:
  • 7th grade -  Frost East Gym 3:00 - 4:30 pm
  • 8th grade - Frost West Gym 3:00 - 5:00 pm

The first several practices will be tryout days to cut down the team to appropriate numbers. There will be one team of 7th graders and one team of 8th graders (15 players on each team).

 

Practice Schedule

All practices are held at Frost Middle School; 8th grade from 3-5 pm, 7th grade from 3:00 - 4:30 pm.  There will be no practices on Thursdays or days we do not have a full day of school. Families are expected to have a ride ready for pick up at the end of practice.  Repeated late pickups could result in removal from the team. 

Uniform and Gear

All basketball athletes will be provided a Frost Basketball Jersey that they are expected to wear to all games.  All athletes must bring their own plain black basketball shorts with a minimum of 4” inseam.  

Information regarding spirit wear will be sent out to all families of athletes who make the team!

Game Times and Details

• All home games and Livonia vs. Livonia games start at 4:00 pm (both 7th and 8th grade)
• Some out-of-district schools only use one gym, so the 7th-grade games start at 4:00 pm and the 8th-grade game at approximately 5:00 pm immediately following the 7th-grade game.
