Mr. Brian Jensen
Dear Frost Families and Community Members,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. As assistant principal, I have the privilege of having my hands in a little bit of everything which allows me to see students in a variety of settings. Nothing is more rewarding than having a small part in your child’s life as they grow from childhood to young adulthood. I aim to support and nurture our students in any capacity possible. Whether it is through a friendly greeting, attending events, or restoring a relationship with a peer. I have a passion for creating an environment where all students can learn and grow. I believe our parent partnership can contribute to a thriving learning environment for our scholars by having consistent and open communication. I value an active parent community where we model the expectations and skills we impart on our scholars.
I want to highlight our extensive PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) program which focuses on three tenets: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. We use a rubric to teach school-wide behavior expectations for all students along with our Community with Character Traits. We also use the tenets of PBIS to build student voice into our initiatives and we take feedback from our student body to make Frost an inclusive environment. We recognize students for making appropriate choices through Falcon Dollars which they can use at the Falcon Store, in weekly raffles, or to buy their way into various activities. We also have a monthly recognition for all students who meet the requirements. We want to create the best middle school experience for our scholars.
My wife and I are Livonia residents with our two boys (Nordin 3, Manning 1). We were drawn to Livonia because of the community’s commitment to education and I am thrilled to be an active member within the district. Our roots have been set in the Livonia community and we intend to be consistent contributors to the life of our schools.
Sincerely,
Brian Jensen, Ed.S.
